Check out the extended trailer for the Biggie Smalls biopic, Notorious. The movie will be in theaters January 16th but one of several pre-release screenings was held in Atlanta last night. The event, hosted by Blue Flame (Bad Boy Ent.?s Marketing Company), was held at AMC Fork & Screen Buckhead ~ formerly AMC Backlot, a theater with a full bar and food service ~ and was already filled to capacity by the time I sauntered in at 7:15pm. I was expecting a highfalutin red carpet event like they had in NYC last week, but was greeted by what appeared to be a mass mobbing at the guest-list table. OK…now that we’ve established a pattern of watching Kentucky Fried Bullsh*t on television, we’re bombarded with even more of the same.? Don’t get me wrong, I’m guilty of falling for the okie doke myself a time or two but Dayum! Not another one!!? This time it’s the M.A.C. makeup legend himherself. Our very own RuPaul has landed a series, entitled, “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” The show will air on the LOGO network (a channel geared towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender viewers) and has been billed as the search for “America’s next top superstar drag queen.” I know a few ATLiens that will LOVE this show so I’m going to make a few phone calls…in the meantime, you guys can check out a few previews below: Continue Reading…

The future of Atlanta hip-hop had descended upon us! Check out B.o.B’s new video for “I’ll Be In The Sky.” The song is the first single from his upcoming debut album The Adventures Of B.o.B, which is coming soon (aka no date yet). With a flow like Andre3000 and a gang of ATL fans, B.o.B. is already one of my favs…and the video is A-Town hawt!

Kanye Covers Vibe + Declares Nudity Is Next

Kanye West covers Vibe Magazine’s February 2009 issue looking…well…let’s just say he was looking. Yeezy, who needs to take Tyra’s advice and “smile with his eyes” looked about as depressed as his music is sounding these days. The rapper is not happy about the pic, stating in his blog that, “I DON’T HAVE GREY IN MY BEARD IN REAL LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’M ALL DOWN WITH BEINGS IN MY 30’S BUT DAAAAAAAAMN!!!! THIS IS SOME BENJAMIN BUTTON’S SHIT!”

I didn’t even peep the gray til he pointed it out…but Whatev! Kanye’s obviously embracing his 30’s. Not only is he the new poster child for Just for Men hair color, he’s also proclaimed that his next act of maturity will be to pose nude one day:

“I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans,” he told writer Sean Fennessey when asked if he was comfortable with fame. “I want the freedom of having less fans. It’s like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It’s like Bj?rk. If she wanted to pose naked, you’d be like, ‘Oh, that’s Bj?rk.’ But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it. I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked.
