Atlantic Records hosted the finale event for CoreDJ weekend in Atlanta Sunday night at T.I.’s Club Crucial. Surprisingly enough, Bankhead…oops I mean Donald Lee Hollowell was THE PLACE to be for the entertainment crowd as T.I., Bobby Ray (aka B.o.B.) Shawty Lo, Maino, AlfaMega, Young Steff, Trey Songz and more converged on the stage to perform.

B.o.B. performed with a live band that featured hot drummer Alien

DJ Drama on the 1s & 2s… (I have no idea what that means. I just like sayin it!) 😆

Puppy Proofs and Booty Talk

I’m really lovin Lil Ike’s Bow-Wow’s newer, more mature look in this new photo shoot for MTV! Since claiming he retired from rap to focus on his acting career and clothing line, Shad made good on his promise and recently returned to the set of Entourage to reprise the role of Charlie from last season. Bow-Wow hit up his twitter page to update everyone on his first day on the set, proclaiming:

“Oh my god ! No need to take pix on set! Papparazzi did it 4 me! They were err wur. Pix will be on sumbody blog. Great 1st day on set! I was filmn entourage! Charlie is bk. We shot at venice beach.” (Source)

Lookin good Bow-weezy! I think he’s well on his way to taking JD’s advice about rockin a suit in his response video to one of NecoleBitchie’s Booty posts. Peep the video below:

Flix/Video ~ Oprah Defends Her Weave

At the end yesterday’s episode of Oprah, the talk show host addressed two pressing questions from all of her Twitter People…aka “Tweeple.” First was “Am I tweeting myself or is my assistant writing for me?” and the second was “Am I wearing a weave? Everybody’s like, ‘Oprah, we love your weave.’

She clarified that she is in fact, in charge of her own twitter by stating, “I tweet myself, that’s why you haven’t seen that many tweets. I can’t tweet all day, okay?” Then addressed the weave question via twitter (above) and also on the air with “This is not a weave, this is my hair!”

I always say that a hit dog will hollar, but hey, she may be telling the truth. I just don’t understand what all the hoopla is about if she is.? Anywhoo, check out the photo she displayed on air of herself pre-makeup with her hair unstyled below: *Warning* It ain’t pretty!

The 12th Annual Unsigned Urban Showcase was held at E.S.S.O Nightclub last night. The event was hosted by DJ Khaled and featured performances by the NAS; Trey Songz and more! Quick Flix ~ Monica, Monique & More Preview New BET Lineup

Monica (pictured above with BET CEO Debra Lee), Comedianne Monique and Actor Terry Crews (“Everybody Hates Chris”) will all be featured in BET’s upcoming lineup next season. Mo and Crews will have reality shows built around their lives, while Monique will host her own late night comedy show.

The slate of shows represents the first programming under new co-presidents Loretha Jones and Stephen Hill, who took over the position following the exit of Reginald Hudlin last year. During a sneak preview Jones and Hill said the new programming will represent a branding strategy of family values and community pride ? an attempt at moving away from some of the negative African American programs the network has received criticism for in the past.

“Monica: Standing Up” will focus on the Monica’s family life and her comeback album, “Breakin’ Up With Mo’Nique” will mark the network’s first late-night talk show and “Crews Control” will focus on the actor, his wife and five kids.

If you’re an avid reader of this site, you recieved this information months ago when I sat down with Monica one on one.? That’s my girl and I’m soooo happy for her! Congrats again Mo….I’ll definitely be watching!

“Following in the footsteps of Karrine Steffans, Buffy the Body has a tell all book coming out in June. If you don?t have anything else of fictional literary quality to read this summer, then this might be worth picking up. After all it is a book?” via MrsGrapeVine

Buffie….come on now. Aren’t you making enough money sell pictures of your “A”zz? Like for real. ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!? *sigh* This book is bound to be will be filled with freaky tales from the Atlanta strip clubs. Oh…and let’s not forget her highly publicized relationship with Gucci Mane. *sigh* I can’t. All I can say is…I hope she writes better than she speaks!
