College Park Police have arrested 4 suspects in the execution-style slayings of two female roomates. A third roommate found the bodies of Lanaetria Butler and Karida Wikler early Sunday morning in their apartment in the 3100 block of Godby Road.? Butler was 28.? Winkler was 34.

It was Lanaetria Butler’s ex-boyfriend that contacted her family in Jacksonville, Fla. with the news of her murder. “He said, ‘A boy that knows me and Renee told me Renee had gotten killed,'” said Elizabeth Butler, Lanaetria’s grandmother. “He was crying when he called me.” Lanaetria Butler left Jacksonville five years ago and moved to Atlanta, according to her mother. Butler is survived by five children, the youngest of whom would be a year old in August.? The oldest, ages 6 and 7 are being cared for by her mother in Jacksonville.

Working with tips from neighbors, police arrested and charged 3 teens for the gruesome crime. 18-year-old Boubacar Traore, and 19-year-olds Anthony Wilder and Carnell Owens. Late Wednesday night, police also identified a fourth suspect in the double-homicide, Christopher Lorenzo Varner, 23. Each have been charged with murder after also attempting to rob Winkler and Butler. College Park police spokesman, Sgt. Eddie Atkins says one of the women was discovered in the apartment’s dining room.? The other in the kitchen.? Each woman had been shot once in the head.

Wilder was arrested Tuesday night in Union City on different charges, College Park police detective Sgt. Eddie Atkins said. ?We had a tip that he had information,? Atkins said of Wilder. ?Detectives interviewed him and he confessed.? During the interview, Wilder gave up two of his accomplices.

Owens was picked up at 2727 Godby Road, an apartment complex just blocks away from Butler?s and Winkler?s apartment and Traore was arrested in an apartment in the same complex where the women lived, but police declined to say whether he knew them.

All four arrested suspects are being held at the College Park jail without bond.

Hittmenn Djs got together Monday afternoon to give back to the community. Midway Recreation Center in Decatur was the location of the 2nd annual Bank Empowerment/School Supply Tour. With a goal of teaching youths the importance of economy, banking and finance, Robert “Kaspa” Smith along with fellow Hittmenn (or is it Hittmann?) DJ Greg Steet joined forces with Decatur First Bank and Metro Atlanta Foot Lockers to jump start kids on the path to financial empowerment by opening their first bank accounts.

Vivica Fox held her birthday celebration in Atlanta at Primal Friday night and Darkchild/Interscope recording artist Verse Simmonds hit up the stage to sing happy birthday to the superstar. NeNe Leakes of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta hit up The Wendy Williams Show recently and spilled the beans about her true relationship with her fellow “housewives”. As the two mixed up some kinda alcoholic concoction Wendy asked NeNe to let it all out. Specifically about how she felt about Kim Zolciak and rumors of her split with her husband Greg:

On Kim:
“People thought that we were best friends. We weren’t. We were associates. We talked from time to time. We weren’t best friends although I love her kids… Listen, I’m not friends with any of those girls on the ‘Housewives’ show, OK? We have a business relationship. That’s where it starts and that’s where it ends.

Wendy: And the business is Bravo?
“The business is Bravo,” NeNe replied.

On Kandi Burruss, the newest person to join the cast:
Wendy: She’s got money.
“Oh, really? I’m just saying, oh, really. I don’t know her like that,” NeNe said.

You been to her house?
“No, I’ve never been to her home.”

Is she fabulous?
“She aiight,” NeNe said with a shrug of the shoulders.

On Xscape, the R&B group Kandi was a member of:
“I don’t know who they are.”

Of course you already know NeNe has a disdain for bloggers and has even told me to my face, but she addressed (again) how she feels about us internet hustlers and took a little time to openly admit she’s not really friend’s with any of her castmastes:

“Listen, it’s not that I don’t like the girls,” NeNe added. “I like the girls. I talk to Lisa the most and um, Sheree and I, in the first episode, you see us try and mend our relationship. But what I’m saying is I think people get confused about what friendship is. Friends don’t do what we do – talk bad about each other, be very negative toward each other… We’re associates. We hang out from time to time. If I was really in a situation I wouldn’t call them up. I have good friends and i have a new sister – you.”

Football & Fundraising ~ 2nd Annual NFL Back2Camp Charity Weekend

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of participating in the 2nd Annual NFL Back2Camp Weekend hosted by D.R. Elite and Botchey Entertainment. The weekend was dedicated to raising money and awareness for the Communities in Schools of Atlanta; a non-profit organization whose goal is to keep children in school and of course I was DOWN for the cause.

Several events were held throughout the weekend but what struck me was the Harlem Night’s themed fundraiser that was held at Hotel Palomar in midtown.? The evening started off with a red carpet reception where we all mingled with cocktails, afterwards there was a silent auction that included autographed pieces from notables like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Jay-Z, Tina Turner, Barack Obama and more.

I give mad props to the sponsors for taking care of business on the very first night.? Ligatt Security and Spoofem.com in partnership with the 2nd Annual NFL Back 2 Camp Charity Weekend presented two (2) $15,000 scholarships and two brand new laptops to Mishyelle Cleveland and Myia Veasey (pictured below); 2009 high school graduates from the West End Performance Learning Center – a non-traditional school operated in partnership with CIS of Atlanta and Atlanta Public Schools.

This weekend was all about business and fundraising and, believe it or not, there were way more NFL Players in attendance than hoochie groupies. Hot bods spotted chillin this weekend included: Abe Elam and Calvin Pace (Jets), Deon Grant (Seahawks), Nate Jones, Ronnie Brown and Jason Allen (Dolphins), Daniel Wilcox (Ravens – retired), Joe Johnson (Saints – retired), Roddy White, Michael Jenkins, Antoine Harris, and Von Hutchins (Falcons), Julius Peppers (Panthers), Charles Grant (Saints), Chad Jackson and Darrell Hackney (Broncos), Evan Oglesby (Ravens), Anthony Henry and Eric King (Lions), Derek Anderson (NBA), Rubin Patterson (NBA), John Henderson (Jaguars), Julius Wilson (Buccaneers) and Carlos Rogers (Redskins).

I personally attended the kick-off? Harlem themed Fundraiser dinner and the Pool Party held at Jason Allen’s (of the Miami Dolphins) Atlanta home. And yes….I did manage to capture a few flix in between my shots of Nuvo and Goose! Ha!
