Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms hosted her first inaugural Mayor?s Ball this past weekend (December 15, 2018).

The 35th annual UNCF Mayor?s Masked Ball in Atlanta, which was held at Atlanta’s Marriott Marquis, is a premier fundraising gala and major social event focusing on raising awareness of the need and benefits of a college education.

The swanky black-tie masquerade ball was well attended by the City’s who’s who including celebrities, civic leaders, alumni, dignitaries, volunteers and friends.

Attendees included Chris Tucker, Monica Brown, 2Chainz, Lou Gossett, Jr., Ronnie Devoe, Michael Bivens, Rickey Bell, Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, Kandi Burruss, Shamari Devoe, Eva Marcille and many more.

Many residents of the City of Atlanta were awakened during the wee hours of the morning by a jolting vibration.

It only lasted a few seconds, but social media was ablaze with questions.

While many surmised that neighbors were probably having a late night romp, it was soon reported that a magnitude 4.4 earthquake that was the cause of the unnerving tremor.
