Ne-Yo has just released his newest video for his next single “Mad” from Year of the Gentleman. ?It’s quite insightful…almost makes me wanna make up with a few folks before they die. ?Nevermind…on second thought I’ll be better off waiting. ?Some things are better left unsaid.
I am soooo getting used to Kanye being a real singer right now! Use of the vocoder thingy is almost transparent in this new song and it’s the best one yet..IMO. ?Can’t wait for the album!! ?In other songs I’ve been listening to this week, Slim pairs up with Big Boi, Jay-Z reflects on Obama’s historic victory, Justin Timberlake joins the legions of vocoder users and Rick Ross drops a verse on on T.I.’s “Live Your Life.”?
Beyonce…I mean Sasha Fierce?performed??Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)? to kick off the 2008 World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, Monaco yesterday (November 9). The show was hosted by fellow Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams and actor Jesse Metcalfe. Mrs. Carter was also awarded a WMA for?Outstanding Contribution to the Arts. The 2008 WMA will air in the US on December 2nd.?
Check out the new video for DJ Khalid‘s “Go Hard” featuring Kanye West and T-Pain. I’m glad they finally released the video cause I really like this song. ?Watching Kanye & T-Pain battle it out vocally while both using the vocoder thingy is pure entertainment. ?Don’t get me wrong…I like this song and all, but shouldn’t there be a rule or something that only one person at a time can use the thingy on a song? Just a thought.
You can’t ever say that?Kanye West?doesn’t try new things! In his new video for “Heartless,” Mr. West enters a world of animation. ?There are quite a few cameos from futuristic superstars, the Jetson’s, who are prominently featured on artwork in Kanye’s cartoon home. ?I hate to say it folks, but Kanye’s singing has started to grow on me. ?I know you like it too…don’t front!
Kanye also explained his decision to turn from hip-hop to pop in an interview with a Singapore news outlet. In his usual arrogant swag, Ye explained how his new style of music should be described as “pop-art” and that his goal is to be the greatest performer of this generation. ?He gives much love to his homie T-Pain in the interview and even shows off his singing skills without the vocoder. When asked about his experiences with the media, Kanye quickly pointed out the power of the blog:
My relationship with the media? O.K…That’s why I love having a blog because it’s like, BAM! I can say exactly what I want, the amount of stuff I want…and then it just goes out to everywhere else, it may end up on CNN.
That’s the greatest thing about having a blog. ?Before that…you would have to go through the media.
Dayum! Kanye’s just letting all the good secrets out these days. 😕 Peep the full interview: Continue Reading…
D-Roc & Kaine also known as The Ying Yang Twins are best remembered for classic Atlanta booty club hits like, “Whistle While You Twerk” which was followed up by?”Whats Happnin!”, “Naggin'” and the popular?Lil Jon?collaboration “Salt Shaker”. With a string of hits under their belt, ?the duo are back on the scene with a new song called entitled, “Wild Out”, which will be featured on double cd release tentatively titled The Official Work to be released February 2009. ?They sent me this because they want to know what the “A” thinks about their new single.?
