Well that’s exactly what unemployed ex-reality star Sheree Whitfield was subjected to last night when she hit the boob tube on Bravo TV’s ‘Watch What Happens LIVE! for a bit of Mother’s Day shade (May 12, 2013).

The former Real Housewife of Atlanta‘s name has been mentioned at least three times on Bravo the past few weeks and while “all press is good press,” none of the mentions have been particularly complimentary.
1. During Part 1 of the Season 5 reunion show “a viewer” asked Porsha Stewart if she felt she was a trophy wife “who would be dumped at 40 like Sheree Whitfield”. (WATCH VIDEO)
2. Iyanla Vanzant spoke about Sheree’s Fix My Life Appearance on WWHL, calling her “wounded” and “bitter”.( WATCH VIDEO)
3. Nene Leakes called Sheree an ‘evil’ ‘mean’ ‘true b*tch’ during her one on one with Bravo Andy (WATCH VIDEO)
With that many mentions on air without a check, it’s only fair that Bravo would give Sheree an opportunity to respond… but why she chose to ‘grin and bear it’ while Andy Cohen made a mockery of her failures is way beyond my scope of understanding.

The funeral was held for Chris ‘Mac Daddy’ Kelly of Kris Kross fame in Atlanta, Georgia yesterday (May 9, 2013).
Kelly’s family, friends and fans all payed their respects to the fallen hip-hop legend and many of Atlanta’s music industry insiders attended the funeral services, which was held at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.
Jermaine Dupri, Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, Michael Mauldin, Da Brat and more all paid homage to their friend and several wore their pants backwards in recognition of the trend Kris Kross made famous.

As reported earlier, Kelly died on May 1 at the age of 34 after being found unresponsive by his mother in his Southwest Atlanta home.

I started StraightFromTheA back in 2007 as a way to creatively share my thoughts on several topics in urban pop culture and since that time, have had my share of controversy surrounding a few of my opinionated posts… ie the Tameka Raymond saga during she and Usher’s divorce, Nene Leakes’ twitter beef over being outed about her fake divorce, Kim Zolciak’s foul mouthed insults and most recently Sheree Whitfield‘s Chateau Sheree beef.

During one of my soapbox moments, I uttered the phrase ‘freedom of speech ain’t free’ and I’m personally starting to believe that’s a fact.
As my audience grows, my right to my opinion diminishes and now it’s becoming more evident everyday that when I write things that people don’t like, they will do the most to shut me up.
There’s a vast array of posts on this site. I’ve collected over 6 years worth of my opinionated thoughts on issues that sometimes were only of interest to me.
That being said… there are several posts written regarding that whole Raz B/Chris Stokes drama that Stokes apparently doesn’t want any of you to read (again) and he’s been threatening me for years in an attempt to intimidate me to remove them.
