Word on the curb is that Marvin Gaye, III (son of singer Marvin Gaye) is planning a lawsuit against Empire co-creator Lee Daniels, the FoxTV network and others for stealing his show concept.
Gaye claims that ‘Empire’ was totally his idea. While Gaye’s show was titled ‘Diamonds & Ballads,’ he feels that network executives may have stole his concept while he was pitching the show a few years back.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta may have lost a ‘star’ player in Nene Leakes, but it appears they’ve picked up two drama queens in return: Sheree Whitfield & Marlo Hampton!
The popular reality show has been taping around town for months now and this past weekend, the first ‘full cast’ event was held during Cynthia Bailey’s eyewear launch party.
[sidebar: ‘Full cast’ meaning that everyone full and/or part time was included in the taping.]
Being that the event was public, there were tons of photos that hit the net, and to everyone’s surprise ex-‘housewife’ Sheree Whitfield and former background character Marlo Hampton were spotted filming with the ladies.
Nene’s departure is clearly good news for both Whitfield, who is still knee deep in tax liens?and?Hampton, who has been begging to return as well. But there’s also another RHOA ‘return’ that benefited from Leakes’ departure.

On, Thursday, August 6th, Screen Gems hosted a special blogger dinner for their new film, ‘The Perfect Guy’ in Atlanta.
The event was held at local hot spot, Time Restaurant & Lounge in Midtown and the film’s stars, Sanaa Lathan and Michael Ealy were on hand to answer questions about the upcoming thriller.
The 45 minute intimate dinner was hosted by HGTV personality, Egypt Sherrod, who introduced a special clip from the film prior to introducing Sanaa and Michael to the audience.
Egypt asked a myriad of questions to the cast including descriptions about their character roles in the movie, love, relationship & dating advice for today’s woman, and key takeaways that the cast wanted to express before the movie’s highly anticipated September 11th release.

Yesterday, The National Enquirer published one of the last known photos of Bobbi Kristina Brown, as she laid comatose in bed at Peachtree Christian Hospice center in Georgia.
The image, which is featured on the cover of the tabloid, shows Bobbi Kristina unconscious, in a hospital gown.

A source close to the family revealed that ?the families are livid? about the photo, which was reportedly auctioned off for more than $100,000.

Many have speculated that a family member or friend took the bedside and when news of the photo being auctioned came to light, Bobby Brown‘s sister hit Facebook to vehemently deny that it was a BROWN who took the photo.
