I caught up with R&B singer Faith Evans on the red carpet of the 2010 Soul Train Awards last week. [PHOTO GALLERY] Faith looked marvelous that night and was such a joy to speak with.

You may have heard by now that Faith has been tapped to play the lead role in an upcoming biopic by Spirit of Life Films entitled, ?BLONDIE? ? THE FLORENCE BALLARD STORY.

Evans will embody the spirit of the Supremes? original lead singer, Florence Ballard.

A Detroit native, Florence Ballard paved the way for female entertainers but she has yet to be accurately portrayed so Faith, who’s never acted, has a heavy burden on her shoulders!

One on One with Dondria: “You’re the One” + “Under” Remix

I caught up with Dondria aka Phatfffat recently at her new musical home of So So Def Studios.? The talented singer has a newly released single entitled, “You’re The One” and is anxious to release her debut album, Dondria vs. Phatfffat.

The hot single has already hit the airwaves and is a Bryan Michael-Cox/Jermaine Dupri production with strong emotional vocals reminiscent of a young Monica. Listen below:

In case you’ve been under a rock, Dondria was discovered by Jermaine Dupri after she posted a series of videos on her YouTube channel displaying her talents. She says that she started posting the vids just to get input on her voice, she had no idea she’d get the responses she received. Some of her videos have over a million views and counting!

Tiny & Toya held a private viewing party last night for the world premiere of their new BET reality show “Tiny & Toya” and were joined by all of their friends and family.

Tiny’s former bandmate and newly inducted Atlanta “housewife” Kandi Burress came through for support.

Sheree?Whitfield from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta shares her tales of partying in the “A” way before the time restrictions were put into place. When JD’s verse from “Welcome to Atlanta” really rang true ~ “The party don’t stop til 8 in the morning…” When Club 112 was in the Kroger Shopping Center on Piedmont. When Deon Sanders played for the Falcons and had a club christened by his jersey number. When Dominique Wilkins still played for the Hawks. *sigh* Memories.

Yes…there’s still plenty of places to go party long into the wee hours of the morning, but if you’re leaving club that closes at 3am and don’t know where to go…. you’re just sh*t outta luck cause most of us ain’t gonna tell ya! 😆 <~~ I kid. but not really.

My all-time favorite ATLien, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton was honored this weekend by the Collective Renaissance Guild of the National Black Arts Festival (NBAF). ?The event, dubbed “The Art of Change,” was a star-studded celebration of Big Boi’s collaboration with the Atlanta Ballet in “Big” and he was awarded the 2008 Renaissance Award for “Artistic Innovation”. ? In a?symbolic gesture of passing the baton from one generation to the next, Dr. Cornel West presented Big Boi the award after a crowd raising speech in the atrium of Mercedes Benz of Buckhead.

The event was hosted by Rashan Ali and Kenny Burns, while DJ Trauma kept the house rocking. ?Several celebs were also there to celebrate with Big Boi.
