The announcement that a New York Grand Jury decided NOT to indict the police officer that caused the death of yet another unarmed Black male, sparked public outrage online and off.

If the Ferguson decision didn’t open eyes, the Eric Garner decision did.

The decision struck a nerve and thousands hit the tweets to voice their opinions about racial inequality in the justice system.

While #BlackLiveMatter and #iCantBreathe?topped the trends last night, it was the #CrimingWhileWhite hashtag that opened eyes and sparked a new discussion about White privilege.

Apparently if you’re White in America, you can commit a slew of crimes and not suffer the same consequences a black person might… at least according to many trending stories being shared on social media.
