Monica filmed the finale of her upcoming reality show “Still Standing” last weekend. I’m so excited for her! She’s worked hard on this upcoming cd and from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be hawt!? Mo is on artist that I personally STAN for, for no other reason than her authenticity. She is the real deal and her fans know it. In discussing her new album, Mo states:

?I just wanted to thank everyone for all the love everyone gives me, a lot of celebrities get it twisted and forget it?s the fans who make them…”

Monica held an up close & personal private concert for the final filming. Bryan-Michael Cox, Mia X, Yung Joc and more all showed support for our hometown diva. Check out a few flix below:

Flix/Video ~ Monica Hosts Zone 4, Inc’s F.O.C.U.S. Foundation Event

Monica and Mama Jones (Polow’s Mom)

In partnership with Upscale magazine, super producer Polow Da Don along with his label, Zone 4, Inc, launched the F.O.C.U.S. foundation last week. F.O.C.U.S = Focusing On Completion Until Successful and concentrates on promoting a desire for education, interpersonal skills, networking and marketability within the community.

Mama & Papa Jones ~ You may remember them from my alltime favorite Polow Da Don video.

Polow was said to be out of the country but in his absence, R&B diva Monica held down the “Night of Stars” event, which took place at Club Opera. Most (including me) were totally unaware that Mo was also grabbing footage for her new BET reality show ‘Still Standing’ so I’ll definitely be on the lookout for my cameo.

Video ~ Monica hosts F.O.C.U.S. Foundation Event

Guests were treated to a fashion show which featured select styles from local boutiques, such as Jason Geter’s Striver’s Row and T.I.s AKOO label. There were also treats available in the form of liquor cakes created by “Get Cake” founder Renee Rosenthal and DJ Don Cannon kept the crowd hyped.

In addition to the red carpet fashion show, Zone 4’s newest addition, The Hemphill Kids also performed a tribute to Michael Jackson.? Check out the video and more photos from the event below:

Monica Shares Michael Jackson Photo, Sings Acapella + Chills in the Studio w/JD & B.Cox

Monica hit up her twitter recently and shared a photo of her and Michael Jackson. She also dropped a few kind words to the Jackson family for their loss:

“Blessings to the jackson family. Michael is and will always be the greatest. Thank u foe your kindness and motivation. Your favorite song angel of mine is FOREVER dedicated to u. The king of pop”

“All my love to the great Michael Jackson. Gentle, loving, kind,gracious,giving and so very talented .We will miss u”

Monica has such a genuine spirit! She also has the strongest vocal chords in the game right now. Peep her dropping a verse from “Trust” during the Car & Bike show last weekend:

Mo has also been busy in the studio, as well as filming her upcoming BET reality show, “Still Standing,” which premieres October 27th after the BET Hip Hop Awards.? Jermaine Dupri caught her in the studio recently with Bryan Michael Cox. She talks about her upcoming projects and even lets Lil Rocko show off his dance moves! Flix/Video ~ Monica Outshines Keyshia Cole (2009 BET Awards Performance)

Keyshia Cole performed her hit “Trust” featuring Monica last night during the 2009 BET Awards. It’s undeniable that both of these two have mad talent and they’re actually really close friends, but the overwhelming consensus amongst anyone who watched the show was that Mo totally stole the show! Even Jamie Foxx couldn’t contain himself during the aftershow, where he begged Monica for new album RIGHT this very minute. Monica was her usual glowing self and took all the compliments in stride stating that she’s more than ready for her comeback. Check out a few flix from the show below:

The stage may have said “Keyshia Cole” but the set was OWNED by Monica!

I love you Keyshia…but you got ganked!

…and Keyshia seemed not to mind. She was looking like “B*tch you betta sang!”

TLC’s Chilli & T.Boz React To The Loss of Michael Jackson

Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins have issued statements regarding the death of Michael Jackson. It’s still an emotional time for everyone and the entertainment industry is still in shock. Check out what they had to say below:

“I think everybody who?knows me, knows?I love me some Michael Jackson. I cannot believe that the man i jokingly call my husband, has passed away. I am?beyond lucky to have met such an extraordinary human being. His God given talent was by far?the most beautiful gift we’ve ever seen and probably ever will see.? The “A” Pod ~ “Taxi” ~ Monica

Monica was photographed in Baltimore a few weeks ago while on tour with Keyshia Cole’s “A Different Me Tour.” She looks fabulous as usual even when caught by surprise and she lives for her two beautiful sons Romelo and Lil Rocko. Monica has newly released track from her highly anticipated come back CD. You may remember this track from Mo’s PeachTreeTV reality show “The Single: Monica” a few months back when she was working in the studio with B. Cox tryna find her next single. A snippet of the song was released back then and quickly made the internet rounds. Now the completed version is here for your listening pleasure!
