Death threats against an ATL Blogger…hmmmm? This sounds eerily familiar!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Sandra Rose was the primary reason I started blogging. I used to read her site when I was a cubicle bunny and reading her take on things kept me sane in an insane corporate world.

I may not agree with her opinions, but she has every right to have one. That being said, Jermaine crossed a line if her allegations of threats are true.

SR’s original post, [How the Mighty Have Fallen: JD Rebounds], piggybacked off of a Creative Loafing article that contained much of the same information. Why didn’t JD call over there to complain first?

I’ll tell you why. He probably reads the blogs more than he reads the papers.

Sandra obviously struck a nerve in her post, and yes… she did go hard. However, was what she said enough to hire a hitman?

I was gonna hold my tongue on this situation but Sandra was the first to support me when Tameka Foster Glover Raymond went ballistic on me for doing the exact same thing. Speaking my mind.

It’s easy for celebs to condemn us bloggers about speaking our minds or revealing what we know to be true. Way easier than it is to rag on the AJC or any other “journalistic” medium.? Specifically because most of us aren’t hiding under the umbrella of an alias or typing up posts under “staff.” It gets especially heated when we leak insider knowledge about things that the “real press” won’t touch.

I don’t know Jermaine’s side of the story and I honestly don’t think he could hurt a flea…but knowing what I know about “veiled threats,” this situation has to be taken seriously.

Just my two cents on the situation…
