The happy news hit the net yesterday that Monica is now an official “basketball wife” and now her new hubby, Lakers player Shannon Brown, confirms the news via video:

?It?s true,? the 25-year-old Lakers guard told Hiphopnonstop.tv yesterday.

“That?s my wife, I?m her husband, you know. We?re going to continue to make positive things happen.?

The couple met last summer on the set of Mo’s “Love All Over Me Video” and immediately fell in love.? The two sealed their union in a private civil ceremony November 22nd in Los Angeles. Rumor has it that Mo is planning a full wedding for their friends and family in June

RazB & Ricky Romance Experience an Old School ATL Beatdown… [VIDEO]

Former B2K boy bander Raz B and his brother Ricky Romance were allegedly roughed up and kicked out of an Atlanta club during the Salute the DJs event and it was all caught on tape!

Witness claim that several security guards jumped on stage to assist in the old school beat down of the two brothers, who have gained fame and national attention after RazB accused their former manager, Chris Stokes, of molesting them as young boys.

This latest Raz B drama comes on the heels of a hot & heavy twitter beef between Chris Brown and Raz, where Raz B & his brother targeted Chris Brown (who we all know has anger management problems) by insulting him online.

In what can only be described as KARMA (especially since Raz is also known for recording conversations without consent *cough* Ray J), RazB and Ricky Romance’s embarrassment was quadrupled as several attendees of the event hit the social networking site Twitter to offer a play by play.

Big Boi Named Spokesperson for Crown Royal Black…

Guess what! My boo Antwan “Big Boi” Patton has been named as the official spokesperson for Crown Royal Black.

Twan announced the good news last night via his TWITTER after meeting with bigwigs at the Canadian whiskey company…

Big also noted that longtime friend, Robert Poller aka “Rob the Barber,” who also happens to be the artist responsible for Big’s classic Sir Lucious Leftfoot CD artwork, contributed to the effort by designing a signature Crown Royal bag featuring Big Boi’s personal signature.

Ne-Yo and his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw recently celebrated the grand opening of their new Atlanta clothing boutique.

As you know, the two celebrated the birth of a baby girl named Madilyn Grace Smith back in November and now they have another new baby! The couple celebrated the birth of their Emerlyn & Ester Boutique by hosting a party at the swank Buckhead boutique.

Attendees included H. Lorraine Smith (Ne-Yo’s Mom), Vivica Fox & her new fiance’ Atlanta party promoter Omar “Slimm” White, designer Elene Cassis, Lisa Rayner Tush, Stacey Weiss and Jessica Dauler.

It’s Official! Monica & Shannon Brown Are Married…

R&B singer Monica is officially a basketball wife!? Mo and her boo, Lakers star Shannon Brown tied the knot and have managed to keep it all hush hush for months!

Rumors began circulating way before Christmas that Mo was married and I’d heard that the party in L.A. was actually their reception. Only a few of Mo’s closest friends and family knew about the marriage and they all graciously managed to keep it out of the media.

Well now… the word is out. It’s official! Mo & Shannon tied the knot!

The rumors are true: Monica and Shannon Brown are indeed married. An official with the NBA also confirmed the marriage, which took place in Los Angeles on November 22, 2010.

A friend of Shannon Brown?s says he is relieved that the news is out because he respects his wife and he has been wearing his wedding band recently.

The friend said Shannon and Monica plan to wed officially in front of family and friends (again) in Los Angeles in June. (Source)

Word is… Mo has already changed her last name to “Brown.”

As you recall, Mo met Shannon on the set of the video for “Love All Over Me,” where she and Shannon ended up walking down the aisle. The two have been inseparable every since. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy!

Lauryn Hill Disappoints Atlanta Fans? [PHOTOS]

Word on the curb is that Lauryn Hill’s recent Atlanta concert was a major disappointment.

While anxious fans? filled the intimate venue awaiting her performance, Lauryn hit the stage 3 hours late.? Once there, she performed the same music over and over again and was eventually boo’d by disgruntled crowd:

Lauryn promptly confused her fans by announcing that she was tired of ?playing the same music night after night.? Hill told the shocked audience that she wanted to play something different. She then instructed her band to speed up the music, which rendered her classic hits unrecognizable.

The insider said Hill urged the audience to sing along, saying, ?I want crowd participation.?

?But nobody could participate because NOBODY knew the music!,? said the fan. ?Everybody was looking around like ?WHAT SONG IS THIS?????

To complicate the situation further, the fan said the band was way too loud. ?We kept asking her to tell the band to turn the music down,? said the fan. ?We couldn?t hear her.?

The source said other concertgoers booed the singer and then took their bags and purses and ?stomped out? of the theater. ?They didn?t walk out ? they stomped out!? she emphasized. READ MORE
