Jennifer Hudson featured on Friday?s ?20/20? and the songstress, whose sophomore album ‘I Remember Me’ hits shelves tomorrow, spoke about her journey from singing in church at the age of seven to her Oscar-winning performance in Dreamgirls.

Jennifer, who just performed in Atlanta a few days ago (click HERE if you missed it), speaks on being booted from ?American Idol? and also opens up about surviving the heartbreaking tragedy that struck her family in 2008, when her mother, brother, and nephew were murdered.

God is what I feel certain about. No matter what he?s always there?always.

I feel like that is the greatest gift that my mother?that no money, no fame, no nothing could give you at all. I could not and would not be sitting here right now this happy.

Jennifer also sheds tears of joy as she speaks about the love of her life and the joys of motherhood.

What Chilli Wants is Still a Mystery? [PHOTOS]

Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas searched high & low for love during two seasons of her VH1 reality dating show ‘What Chilli Wants’ but oddly enough, she’s still without a man.

Chilli hit up SoftSheen-Carson’s “Picture Of Strength” benefit event last weekend in California to raise money for ‘A Place Called Home’, a youth safe-haven in South Central.

The TLC diva attended solo and admits that she is still seeking a long-term relationship… she?d like another child…. and now she is likely to go at it again without a “relationship” coach or cameras.

?I?m not a desperate person or insecure to the point I have to have a man to validate who I am. I don?t know. I?m in the same place,? she said.

?I?m glad I had this season,? Chilli said, of the recently concluded eight-episode second season shot last fall. ?I met a lot of nice people. I?m sure most women would have more patience than me.?

So ‘what Chilli wants’ is still a bonafide mystery…. and while she may not have ended the show with a soulmate, she did get a paycheck and more public exposure than she?s gotten in years.

Jennifer Hudson Performs LIVE in Atlanta… [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

Jennifer Hudson was a vision in purple last night as she performed for Atlanta radio station V-103’s Soul Sessions.

I wasn’t planning on attending the event but I’m so glad I did! Jennifer gave a wonderful performance!

The suddenly slender award winning singer/actress wowed the crowd by singing a slew of her new hits from her upcoming album “I Remember Me,” as her fiance David Otunga and their adorable little son, David Jr. cheered on from the sidelines.

I loved the way J-Hud interacted with the crowed. She even walked through the audience while she sung a few of her songs.

[Sidebar:? It was hilarious when she almost ran me over when she first came out. I though she was headed toward the stage then she abruptly turn and walked down the aisle…. (video snippit) ]

Jennifer also surprised the crowd with an encore as she returned to the stage for a performance of her Dreamgirls hit, “I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”.

Hearing her sing it live gave me chills… she is such an awesome inspirational performer!

Ciara was spotted departing a medical building on Bedford Blvd in Beverly Hills recently. The Gimme Dat diva was rocking an 80’s tee, denim short shorts and combat boots.

In case you were wondering about her “puckered up” tee, CiCi is wearing a Torn ?Gilliane Lips? v-neck t-shirt (Retail: $74). This lightweight jersey fit t-shirt features red lips printed on the front and a high-low cut hem.

Quick Flix: Ludacris, Kelly Price & More Attend JAGGED EDGE’s ATL Live Show… [PHOTOS]

Season 2 of the popular ATL Live on the Park showcase series, hosted by Kenny Burns and founded by Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols, kicked off last night with R&B veterans Jagged Edge headlining an unforgettable show.

JE hit the stage and thrilled the crowd with classics such as ?Let?s Get Married,? ?I Gotta Be? and ?Where the Party At? and Kelly Price surprised the audience with an impromptu performance of her single ?Tired.?

During the event, a Jagged Edge twin got a lil diva-ish and mananged to piss off RL (of next) ~ click HERE for that story — but otherwise it was all love for the home team during the show.

As usual, all the who’s who of Atlanta’s music industry were in the building, including Ludacris, Kelly Price, RL (of next), Jazze Pha, Chaka Zulu, Bryan Michael Cox, Devyne Stephens, Latavia Roberson (formerly of Destiny’s Child), Real Housewives of Atlanta?s Peter Thomas and Lawrence Washington and more.

Derek Blanks Shoots Melanie Fiona… [PHOTOS]

Melanie Fiona recently became “every woman” (literally) for a Derek Blanks alter-ego photo shoot in honor of Women’s History Month.

The Grammy-nominated singer says she wanted to show the strength of women throughout time.

“In this portrait, I am the face of every woman who ever stood, fought, or perished, for the rights and strength of a progressive cause,” she says.

Fiona is also preparing to release her sophomore album, “The MF Life.” Fiona spoke candidly with ESSENCE about her “Every Woman” photo shoot and explains exactly what she means by”MF Life”.
