Jermaine Dupri and So So Def Recordings teamed up with WE tv last week to host an exclusive red carpet event and screening of the new documentary “Power, Influence & Hip Hop: The Remarkable Rise of So So Def.”

Guests also celebrated the upcoming 3rd season of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.

The event was held at The London Hotel in Los Angeles and JD was joined by his father Michael Mauldin, mother Tina Mauldin, daughter Shaniah Mauldin, and celebrity friends Usher, Bow Wow, Da Brat, Larenz Tate, Mona Scott-Young, Jackie Long, Datari Turner, Angel Brinks, Drea Kelly, Buku Abi, ReeMarkable, Eddie George, Miss Lawrence and Antoine Harris as they celebrated the premiere along with guests, media and influencers.

R. Kelly’s Crisis Manager Admits He’d Never Leave His Daughter With Kelly… (VIDEO)

R. Kelly is currently sitting in jail awaiting his day in court while his publicist, Darrell Johnson, is out doing interviews on his behalf.

The singer faces charges for child pornography and other charges, but Johnson has continued to publicly support and defend the singer as his spokesperson. So far in the case, more than 20 alleged sex tapes with R. Kelly and underage girls have been uncovered by authorities and several of the alleged “enablers” will face charges as well.

As the story unfolds, Kelly’s publicist sat down for an interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning and admits he “absolutely” wouldn’t leave his 20-something-year-old daughter alone with the singer.

Happy birthday Wendy Williams! The queen of daytime talk jumped off her 55th birthday with an intimate celebration at Tiffany’s Blue Box Café in NY yesterday (Thursday, July 18)

Williams shard the moment online as she donned a black strapless ball gown as she indulged in a petite cake shaped like the iconic Tiffany blue box. The popular talk show host was also escorted around town with a lavish shopping spree courtesy of a mysterious “benefactor”.

Porsha Williams, Nene Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Tanya Sam, Shamea Morton, Yovanna Love all attended Marlo Hampton’s soft launch for her “I am Her” wig line Wednesday evening.

The perpetual background character finally got her chance to shine during an event focused on her, but returning peach holder Kenya Moore tried to snatch the spotlight and was promptly escorted out.

If you thought Usher Raymond was over and done with STD lawsuits… think again.

Back in May, the legendary crooner reached an “amicable agreement” with at least one of the plaintiff’s who was suing him for allegedly infecting them with the herpes virus (click HERE if you missed that).

But he still has several cases pending and wants to keep those medical records sealed.
