Lauren Hill’s ?The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour? was planned to celebrate Hill’s only studio album, which spawned classic hits like ?Everything is Everything,? ?Doo Wop (That Thing)? and ?Nothing Really Matters,? but tickets must not be selling.
A string of July and August shows have been canceled and refunds are being offered .
And Yes… the Atlanta date is affected.
Details below…
Hill, 43, performed earlier this year at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago to rave reviews, but garnered a lot of criticism for her Detroit and Toronto dates.
According to reports, in Detroit, her performance was cut early by the venue, where she also encountered numerous sound and technical issues. In Toronto, she reportedly showed up over an hour late and only for performed 45 minutes. The songstress also allegedly criticized her tech crew and band repeatedly during the performance.
That being said, it’s no surprise that the ?X Factor? singer has canceled and/or postponed several tour dates.
Hill was scheduled to perform in Virginia Beach, Virginia in August, but it has been canceled due to ?unforeseen production issues,? however there has been no clarification on the exact nature of those “production issues.” ?She?had previously rescheduled this same concert date from July 5th to August 16th.
A string of July and August shows in North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, and Virginia have been canceled; refunds are being offered.
Hill’s Miami, Atlanta, and Nashville concerts have been postponed until October; tickets will reportedly be honored at the rescheduled show dates. Find her updated schedule below.
