Isn’t it great when parents put aside their hard feelings for the sake of the kids?

Ne-Yo and his ex-fianc?, Monyetta Shaw did just that recently when the two shared their son’s big day.

Ne-Yo and Monyetta, who share two beautiful kids together, Mason Evan Smith and Madilyn Grace Smith both took to instagram recently to reveal that they spent Mason’s birthday together as a family.

The former couple each shared the same photo, stating that they were both ‘above the drama’ and that it was ‘bigger then them’.

Neyo reposted the photo but went a step further by acknowledging his new wife, Instagram model Crystal Renay, who stayed home to care for their infant son Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr.

[Sidebar: Crystal and Monyetta have not always been the best of friends (never forget), but at least it seems they’re agreeing to compromise for the sake of the kids.]

Congrats to the couple for creating what appears to be a peaceful blended family…
