Reid was reportedly a bit pissed when the biopic portrayed her has conniving and dishonest and now she free to proceed with her lawsuit against Viacom for defamation.

An Atlanta federal has judge ruled that TLC?s creator and former manager Perri ?Pebbles? Reid can proceed with her case to sue Viacom for allegedly defaming her in a 2013 VH1 biopic, ?CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.?

Reid?s lawyer, Stacey Godfrey Evans told Page Six,

We are thrilled with this major win against Viacom and look forward to justice.

Ms. Reid worked hard to ensure the success of TLC, and she is ready to present that story to a jury. The negative portrayal of her in the TLC movie is simply not the truth.

Viacom filed a motion last year stating that Reid had no case and sought to dismiss it, but the judge ruled against it Thursday.

Reid signed the group in 1991, and TLC went on to become one of the biggest-selling female acts, with hits like ?Waterfalls? and ‘No Scrups but they later filed for bankruptcy and blamed Pebbles for their financial mismanagement.

In the film, Reid is depicted as having only paid the group $25 a week, which she said is all a lie.? Now, Reid is seeking $40 million in damages and she knows just who to sue to get it… VIACOM!

A spokesperson for Viacom tried to explained that ?CrazySexyCool? was merely a docudrama, told from their perspectives.? I guess that means in their eyes that they can twist the truth to make it a better story, but Pebbles feels otherwise.

Viacom states:

We are confident that our First Amendment rights to tell this story will ultimately be vindicated, although we are disappointed that the court chose not to dismiss the entire case on summary judgment.

Reed is seeking $40 million in damages in the case.
