Lyfe Jennings and his ex, Joy Bounds are in the news again… and nope, they aren’t back together!

The two were in the news a few years back when Lyfe acted a plum fool in front of Joy’s home which resulted in his arrest after a high-speed chase.

Lyfe was sentenced to prison for 3 years in that situation and it would seem that he would be on the straight and narrow path, but according to Joy,? the mother of Lyfe’s two sons, he’s become violent with her once again.

Bounds has now filed a restraining order against the singer, stating that he’s once again threatening her and is even attempting to brainwash their two boys.

A recent temporary restraining order has been granted for Joy Bounds against Chester Jermaine Jennings (aka Lyfe Jennings).

In the documents, Joy says that Lyfe is still very scary, claiming he made veiled threats like “I’m gunna remember this” and telling her she was “not that hard to find.”

She also says in the documents that Lyfe has continued a campaign of brainwashing their kids, recently taking them to a park and feeding them lies about her.

Lyfe hit TMZ to state he didn’t do what he’s being accused of, stating:

Lyfe tells us he never threatened Joy or the kids in any way. He claims she’s throwing a tantrum because he cussed her out about being a bad mother.

He also says he’s a good dad … and everyone knows that.

Meanwhile, a judge issued a temporary restraining order in the case and Lyfe has to remain at least 200 yards away from Joy and the 2 boys until their next court date… about 30 days from now.

As for her side of the story, Joi hit Facebook to state the following about the situation:

I don’t put my business out but I am reaching out. Difference. I feel like it’s October 2008 again and I’m about to need another police escort home to a horrible scene.

The worst thing I could’ve done is remain silent about what I endured and I apologize to the universe for being so naive and arrogant about my strength. I realize now that my silence gave the enemy power and I could’ve prevented pain for someone else. I sacrificed myself in every way thinking I was helping my kids. That if I kept smiling thru I could protect them. I was wrong. It is wrong.

When your other half is a public figure or has money you can feel invisibly stifled. I felt like it was my duty to just shut up and take it or everything I worked to build would die and it would be my fault. The lies the enemy tells smh.

When this.. “man” could no longer hurt me he chose to target the closest thing to me, our kids 😤 (I won’t post those specifics) He no longer deserves my silence to cover for his sick dark disrespectful soul.

I’ll no longer help a lie to flourish nor be a part of the fake conscious plague he embodies.

It’s not the first time Joy has been granted a restraining order against her kid’s father.? She was granted one back in 2008 right after Lyfe was arrested for kicking in her door.
