Newsflash! Lil Scrappy of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta is reportedly facing eviction from his Stone Mountain, GA rental home.
Details below…
According to Bossip,
Lil Scrappy is close to being kicked out of his Georgia rental home after a judge signed off on an order allowing the owners of the pad to evict the rapper out after he stopped paying the rent.
According to court records in Dekalb County, Williams Property Group sued Scrappy last November for not paying his $3,000 a month rent on the Stone Mountain, GA property, which he has been living in for some time.
The five bedroom, four bathroom, 3,922 sq. ft. home is worth an estimated $400,000.
Scrappy apparently never responded to the eviction suit, and on May 9th, the Williams Property Group was granted a writ of possession signed off by the judge.
For those of you who are clueless about landlord/tenant law… once a judge grants the writ, the owner (or property management) can now have law enforcement proceed with eviction (even IF the tenant decides to run to the paypal and deposit payment).
No word yet on if Scrappy has actually been evicted or if he left dog feces all over the place but there’s usually no turning back once a writ of possession is granted.
This isn?t the first time the rapper has been involved in a dispute involving real estate.
Back in January 2015, the same company hit him with an eviction lawsuit but it appeared the two parties worked out their issues because the case didn?t go anywhere.
Scrappy also used to be homeowner but his Georgia home was foreclosed by the bank back in 2010 after he failed to make his payments on the property.
