The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 16th episode of it’s 8th season last night (March 6, 2016).

It’s been two whole weeks since we’ve caught up with the ‘housewives’ since they were pre-empted for the Oscars last Sunday.

This week’s episode is titled ‘turning over a new peach’ and the ladies are all determined to move forward after all the drama in Jamaica.

Bravo synopsis:

After working on?Cynthia’s?”mercial,”?Kim?is determined to move her directing career forward while avoiding any more drama with?Kenya. Kenya’s Aunt Lori grills her about her new boyfriend, leaving her conflicted about pursuing a future with a younger man. Meanwhile,?Porsha struggles to keep the photo shoot for her new lingerie line afloat without her sister/assistant Lauren to help.?Kandi, Todd, and Mama Joyce find themselves in the doctor’s office discussing how many carats the “push gift” should be. Finally,?Phaedra?embarks on an emotional trip with her two sons to visit Apollo for the first time since his incarceration.

Onward and upward…

Kim has decided to take the high road after last week’s fiasco.

This week, she moves on with more opportunities to direct now that she’s gotten Cynthia’s ‘mercial out of the way and she skypes?with her LA manager to get things going.

Kim’s got a lot of projects on her list… a?pilot with super producer Will Packer (Takers, Think Like A Man, Ride Along 2), National Advertisers and more, so clearly Kenya’s project his not on her to-do list.

To mate Matt or not to mate Matt? THAT is the question Kenya’s asking herself…

Kenya reveals to her Aunt Laurie that she’s ‘taking it slow’ with rent-a-date Matt. ?The good news is that Matt seems totally into Kenya… the bad news is that Kenya seems totally into having a baby.

Matt is almost 20 years Kenya’s junior so it’s obvious they’re not going to be on the same page when it comes to some things. ?Most importantly, when Kenya asks her boytoy about bearing children, Matt says he’d prefer to wait a few years.

The answer didn’t sit too well with Kenya and she tells Matt she would prefer a child sooner rather than later in the relationship.

[Translation: Let’s have kids and get to know each other later… ]

Will they procreate before it’s too late? I guess we’ll have to wait & see…

No matter the age, sex talk with your parents is awkward…

Kandi is about to pop and she pays a visit to Dr. Jackie for a check up. ?Todd and Mama Joyce both tag along for the appointment, and things get a bit awkward when Dr. Jackie goes into detail about how Kandi & Todd can still be intimate during the pregnancy.

Mama Joyce’s face is priceless when Dr. Jackie tells Todd he should let ‘Kandi ride on top’ or ‘bend her over the dining room table’.

Whatever the case, Kandi’s pregnancy is moving along as expecting and she finally reveals her son’s name… on the show.

Always pick up the poop!

RHOA producers are so shady. ?But I digress…

Porsha struggles to keep the photo shoot for her new lingerie line afloat without her sister/assistant Lauren to help. ?Lauren is pregnant and she’s just not that into being Porsha’s do-girl while she’s with child.

As proven during their sisterly meeting, when Porsha is forced to?pick up dog poop since Lauren can’t really stoop that low right now.

Needless to say, Porsha’s naked lingerie shoot goes off without a hitch as she gets a little help from Supermodel Cynthia Bailey.

Prisoners need love too…

The day has finally come for Phaedra to take her two young sons to visit their dad in prison.

Phaedra packs up the boys and her mother comes along for the emotionally draining trek to Ft. Dix, where Apollo is serving the remainder of his 8 year sentence.

Bravo notes that the cameras weren’t allowed on the grounds of the facility, but they follow up with Parks as she and the boys return.

[Sidebar: Why did Phaedra’s mom ride all that way just to wait in the car for hours with the limo driver?? But I digress (again)]

The visit goes well… I guess, but the boys seem a bit distracted and unamused about the trip. ?Ayden shares at his mom’s urging, how he hates his dad’s new mohawk, while Dylan explains that he was just ready for the doors to open.

Judging from their reactions, it’s doubtful that Phaedra will be making the trip again anytime soon, but at least she can now say she’s done it.
