Singer Toni Braxton‘s life story will be airing on television near you sooner than you think.
The Lifetime network has given a greenlight to ‘Un-Break My Heart’, which is based on Braxton’s 2014 memoir of the same title.
This ?authorized life story? will reveal the tale of the Grammy Award-winning R&B singer who has battled through lupus, financial woes, and divorce all while raising a son with autism.
More details below…
LIFETIME bills ‘Un-Break My Heart’ as ?the never-before-told story of the measures Braxton took to make herself and her family whole again, serving as an inspiration to people around the world.?
Braxton, who stars in WE tv?s reality series ?Braxton Family Values,? is also among the executive producers of the film, alongside Craig Baumgarten, executive producer of Lifetime?s Twist of Faith, an interfaith love story that she also starred in. Production is slated to begin later this year, with Susan McMartin (?Two and a Half Men?) penning the script.
Lifetime?s announcement of Un-Break My Heart comes on the heels their other recent biopics, which include R&B stars Whitney Houston and Aaliyah.
Since Braxton is still amongst the living, I would hope that her added input into her own life story will make her production a bit better than the aforementioned.? Then again, her life ain’t over yet, so it may be a bit too soon to tell the tale.
Whatever the case, Toni Braxton’s story of heartbreak, financial woes and reality show resurrection will be aired on Lifetime for your viewing pleasure.
