Word on the curb is that Mickey ?Memphitz? Wright is on the run after being suspected of assaulting a car wash attendant about stealing his drugs out of his vehicle. Wright had his white Jeep Wrangler cleaned Thursday afternoon at Club Corners Car Wash on Medlock Bridge Road in Atlanta and reportedly paid the $30.50 charge and left. He returned to the car wash minutes later and demanded an employee return his weed.
?Your life or my weed,? Wright said, according to the employee in the police report.
A warrant was issued for Wright’s arrest last Friday (click HERE if you missed that), but new details have been revealed about the case and it doesn’t look too good for MempHitz, who ditched his vehicle a few miles away and still hasn’t turned himself in to authorities. Details below… According to the police report, the employee, Harold Huntley, told Wright he didn?t have the marijuana and Wright then produced a pink and black handgun. Wright then spoke with the business manager and reviewed surveillance footage. Wright?s actions were also captured on the business cameras, police said. Wright again left the business but returned, this time demanding the employee?s phone, witnesses told police. Another employee in the car wash called 911, but Wright was gone by the time officers arrived. The employees were able to track the stolen cellphone to a shopping center in the 6000 block of Medlock Bridge Road, where the Jeep was left abandoned. The vehicle was impounded, but Wright was no where to be found. On Friday, police obtained arrest warrants for Wright, charging him with armed robbery and aggravated assault. He was not in custody late Friday afternoon.
VIDEO: Victim of MempHitz Car Wash Incident Speaks…
Harold Huntley, the carwash attendant spoke to WSB-TV, about the incident and in the video above, states:
“He was getting a car wash, and when I drove his car into the tunnel, I smelled marijuana.” Huntley says Wright wrongly accused him of stealing marijuana out of the SUV. “He comes back and is like, ?You stole my weed, you stole my weed.? I was like, ?Nah, man,? and then he pulled a gun out on me and was like, ?It’s gonna be your life or it’s gonna be my weed,?” Huntley said.
As Huntley called the cops video shows Wright snatch his phone and run off.
“He was like, ?Man just give me the phone, give me the phone. What’s it gonna be? Your life or your phone? Is it really that important??? Huntley said.
Felony arrest warrants have been obtained for armed robbery and aggravated assault for Wright, who is married to Toya Wright, the ex-wife of rapper Lil Wayne. Police found the Jeep, the handgun and the stolen phone a few miles from the car wash and believe someone picked Wright up and whisked him away from the scene. As of this posting, MempHitz is still at large and police are asking him to turn himself in to the Fulton County Sheriff?s Department.
