Welp… if you were looking forward to seeing Vivica A. Fox on the small screen in ‘Hollywood Divas,’ it’s not going to happen.
It was just about a month ago that ‘Hollywood Divas’ executive producer, Carlos King, announced that the veteran actress would be joining the cast of the show (click HERE if you missed that).
The ensemble series made up of actresses Golden Brooks (Girlfriends), Countess Vaughn (The Parkers), Paula Jai Parker (Hustle & Flow), Elise Neal (The Hughleys) and ‘housewife’ turnt actress Lisa Wu (Real Housewives of Atlanta) has been in production for its second season for a few months now.
Hollywood Diva’s cast member Countess Vaughn even posted a message online sharing her excitement about Vivica joining the show:
Details below…
I have to admit, that announcement of Vivica joining ‘Hollywood Divas’ was a bit sketchy and it was worded a bit too carefully.
Well after all that fanfare, Vivica won’t be appearing on the TVOne reality show after all.
Vivica recently confirmed to TheJasmineBrand via twitter that she did not quit the reality show, her contract negotiations had stalled and now she’s focusing on her role in the new Independence Day film, ID42:
Vivica clearly has bigger fish to fry and her decision to move on created an opportunity for another starlit.
According to Jawn Murray at AlwaysAList.com, former ‘friend of the show,’ actress Shar Jackson, previous ‘friend of the show’ and close friend of cast member, Contess Vaughn, has officially joined the cast.
One of the show?s executive producers confirmed to us that Jackson has joined the cast for the new season.
During season one, the 38-year-old actress made a few cameo appearances on the show in support of her friend and former co-star Vaughn.
Vivica’s movie role is certainly ‘good news’ for Shar.
What do you think of Vivica’s departure from the ‘Hollywood Divas’ cast?
