VH1?s latest reality show controversy stems from the fact that they had the audacity to create a reality show based around women who belong to African-American sororities.
‘Sorority Sisters’ features 9 women who are members of four different Greek-letter organizations, living and socializing in Atlanta.
The series just started and many already feel that it’s missed the mark.? What could have been an uplifting storyline about Black professional college grads working together, participating in community service and showing how ‘sisterhood’ actually works, is instead a basic everyday reality show showing Black woman (and one token White female) engaged in ratchet behavior.

Shocked?? I don’t know why you would be.? It’s been proven time and time again that positivity doesn’t work in the long run. What pays the bills is entertainment and that’s exactly what ‘Sorority Sisters’ seems to be aiming for.
There was little to no sisterly love displayed in the premiere episode and Greeks and non-Greeks alike reacted on social media, slamming the show for perpetuating negative stereotypes and alternatively lifting #SororitySister to the top of the trending charts.
