Nida, husband of Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was the buzz of the net yesterday when no one could confirm that he turned himself in by the noon deadline, however your favorite ‘househubby’ was confirmed to be safe & sound, besides having his car vandalized at the strip club days before his departure (click HERE if you missed that) and a side trip to have a final word with his wife and kids.
Apollo officially reported to jail early this morning…
Details + watch Apollo’s ‘farewell’ video below:
It was confirmed that Nida was still in Atlanta and was spotted at the home he shared with his wife, “Real Housewives” co-star Phaedra Parks, on Wednesday afternoon, which was after the deadline that U.S. marshals gave him to turn himself in to the minimum-security federal prison in Lexington, Kentucky.
Park’s publicist, Steve Honig was at the home when Nida arrived Wednesday and told CNN “there was an incident” that occurred between the couple around 4 p.m. yesterday, although he declined to give details.
Reportedly Bravo cameras were there to catch it all go down and Park’s publicist can’t violate their ironclad confidentiality agreement.
Whatever the case, TMZ reported that Apollo’s delayed ‘vacation’ was due to the fact that he stopped by the house to clear up some loose ends first.
…we’re told he pulled up to the home of his wife, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks and went nuts because Phaedra refused to put money in his prison account while he was locked up. She also refused to bring their kids to prison to visit him and that caused him to lose it.
A source who witnessed the incident confirmed to CNN that Nida came to the house because he was upset that Parks would not deposit money into his prison account. The source asked not to be identified.
For the record, Apollo Nida, 35, eventually checked into prison as inmate 65725-019.
Prison spokesman Kenny Coleman confirmed with CNN that he checked in but it was well after the noon deadline.? Inmate privacy rules prevented the spokesman for disclosing details about what time Nida arrived.
“I can tell you that he is here,” Coleman said.
So there you have it.? Apollo is being processed in and it takes several hours being that it’s Federal Prison. His new mugshot will most likely be circulating tomorrow.
Nida left a farewell video to fans around 4am, stating:
“Well everyone, I have finally arrived at the penitentiary. I’m about to go asunder.? Stay tuned. You’ll hear from me shortly.
I wish him the best.? If you care to write to him (or put money on his books)…
