Just when?CeeLo Green‘s image was beginning to recover from those rape allegations, he’s dived head first into a pile of controversy!

Ceelo recently pled no contest in a the case where a female acquaintance?accused him of slipping her ecstasy and having his way with her, and while his court plea allows him to maintain his innocence, Green seems to be hell bent on trying his case in the court of public opinion.

Ceelo hit the tweets late last night to argue the specifics of ‘rape’ with a few of his followers and his statements didn’t go over too well online…

But wait… that’s not all Ceelo said.

As for the rape charge, the LA District Attorney allowed Ceelo to?plead ‘no contest’ to sharing ecstasy.

Prosecutors rejected the rape charge against Green and his attorney?Blair Berk?has said Green had consensual sex with the woman but admits he gave ecstasy to her during the 2012 dinner that led to the sexual encounter. Rape charges stemmed from the woman claiming that?she woke up butt naked in Ceelo’s bed and she allegedly doesn’t recall consenting to the drugs or sexual intercourse.

According to TMZ, Ceelo’s no contest plea is a felony but the plea allows Green?to maintain his innocence. CeeLo must perform 360 hours of community service at the MusiCares Foundation of the Recording Academy and attend 52 AA meetings with a private therapist. He’s also on probation for 3 years.

In pleading his case online, the ‘F*ck You’ singer goes on to explain the details of his case and why he feels that ‘rape’ wasn’t an issue since ‘he tried but did not succeed’…
