Meet 41 year-old Lori Carmichael Quigley.

Quigley, a south Georgia math teacher, posed for the mugshot above after she was charged with having sexual encounters with at least two of her students.

Quigley resigned her position after the allegations surfaced, but was arrested at her home was a week later.

The incidents allegedly occurred at the McIntosh County Academy in Brunswick, Georgia back in 2012 and most recently, at a local Waffle House in January 2014.

Seems like there’s always something going down at the Waffle House… *sigh*

A judge granted bond, set at $50,000 in cash, to a former teacher charged with having sex with several students. The judge set bond for Lori Quigley for all three counts she faces.

Police arrested Quigley a week ago at her Georgia home. She resigned from her math teaching job about a week before her arrest.

An arrest affidavit shows investigators claimed Quigley had a sexual encounter in her classroom with two students at the school in September and October of 2012. A third encounter with one of the two students, according to investigators, took place at a Waffle House in Georgia this past January.

Judge David L. Cavender ruled Quigley must have no contact (in person, by phone, by email or social media) with students or former students of the county school system other than family members. She has to stay in the county where she lives and cannot leave the state of Georgia without prior approval of the court.

Quigley is required to be under supervision when she’s around anyone under the age of 18.

Police have charged her with three counts of sexual assault upon a person under supervision or discipline, said Maj. Danny Lowe from McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing but authorities fear other students were victims of the married mother of two.

‘We think there’s more out there,’ said Major Lowe.

Both male students were at least 16 years of age, Lowe said.

Although 16 is the age of consent in Georgia, the law forbids school personnel from having sex with students.

I think jail time is too easy.
