Weaver felt ‘some kinda way’ about the online celebrations sparked by rapper Lil Boosie’s release from Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola this past Wednesday.
And while many made jokes about the rapper becoming a social media trending topic, Jason Weaver took to his Instagram to target the ‘over the top’ reaction from Lil Boosie?s fans and family… calling it ?coon sh*t.?
…and this is coming from a person who was arrested for taking a dump in public.

But it’s not about the messenger… it’s about the message.
Details + the ‘Boosie’ family video that started it all below…
In the video (below), which has gone viral, the youngster uses the n-word while adults can be heard laughing in the background.
?I told y?all ni**as! I told y?all ni**as! Y?all thought I was playing, but I told you! Boosie coming home today, he coming home today, he coming home today. Told y?all! Y?all better believe it. The streets is his!?
Weaver responded online about the attention that Lil Boosie’s release is receiving, revealing that he’s concerned because Lil Boosie is being glorified by many like he?s some sort of a hero.
Lil Boosie was already serving a four-year sentence for drugs and gun possession when he was found guilty of conspiring to smuggle codeine, marijuana and ecstasy into prison. Boosie was released last Wednesday to the delight of his fans and family who all flooded social media with photos and videos.
Here?s what Weaver wrote online:
Ok so…. I see a lot ppl on IG posting stuff about Lil Boosie gettin out of prison, talmbout “Welcome Home” “Boosie Back” and all kinds of other coon shit. Listen man, no disrespect to Boosie or anyone else for that matter who has ever been incarcerated, but the problem I have with the IG posts regarding him gettin out is it’s being displayed like it’s some kind of thing to celebrate. I’m sorry man, but why can’t we celebrate young black men who have stayed OUT of prison?
I’m not judging Boosie or any other individual who may have faced similar circumstances. It would sure be cool though if we posted more pics of our young brothas receiving high school diplomas, college degrees, and cool shit like that instead of a playa gettin out of prison mane. I’m about celebrating milestones in young black men’s lives that we can REALLY be proud of! Like for real… C’mon son!! Sorry for the rant, but I just had to say it.#KanyeShrug
Many agree with Weaver’s statement and he’s been unapologetic about the flack he’s received for referring to the online reactions as ‘coon sh*t.’
What do you think of Weaver’s statement?
Agree or disagree?
