It’s a new mugshot for the New Year for rapper Jay Jenkins aka Young Jeezy!

Jenkins posed for the mugshot above after he turned himself in on a grand jury warrant last Friday, January 3, 2013 on charges that he assaulted is 17 year old son.

According to?TMZ,?Jeezy was arrested in Atlanta for battery, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats against his own son (pictured above during happier times).

According to the charging documents, Jeezy got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and he threw his son into the glass shower door, causing the son to hit his head. Then Jeezy allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him.

According to the incident report, Jeezy’s son attempted to escape but the rapper’s bodyguard blocked the stairwell.

The docs go on — claiming Jeezy subsequently choked his son and said, “I will kill you.” According to police docs, Jeezy’s son claims his dad said, “I will put a bullet in your head right now,” adding, “If I could get away with it, I would kill you.”

[Sidebar: Sounds like standard angry Dad/teen son stuff to me. Kid’s these day’s will call the police on their parents in a heartbeat!!]

The incident allegedly occurred in Sept., 2012, just two months after Jeezy threw the then 16 year old a huge birthday bash at the Buckhead mansion owned by Lee Najjar aka ‘Big Poppa’ of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (PHOTOS).

Jeezy turned himself in to authorities Friday, January 3, 2014, after a grand jury warrant was issued for each charge of the 3 charges. He bonded out soon after posting $45,000 bail.

Young Jeezy’s attorney issued a statement regarding the arrest, stating:

“We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.”

Another day, another rapper arrested. *sigh*
