Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta played host to a slew of celebrities, tastemakers, educators and media, as we attended a screening of 12 Years A Slave,?one of the most eye opening and heart wrenching movie premiers to date.

The movie, which is already generating Oscar buzz, depicts the story of Solomon Northup, a once freed slave who was kidnapped and sold back into harsh southern slavery for 12 years.

A private screening on?October 16, 2016?in Atlanta’s Atlantic Station and Bailey introduced the film and hosted a small discussion panel after the showing to express thoughts, questions and more.

Notables in attendance included: Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas, Angie Stone (R&B Divas), R&B singer RL, actress/singer Demetria McKinney, R&B singer Jacob Latimore, Dice Dixon, Sheneka Adams, Africa Miranda and Alexandra Dilworth of (The New Atlanta),?WNBA star Jennifer Lacy,?Quad Webb-Luncefored (Married to Medicine), and many more.
