It seems many reality stars are turning into published authors these days… and the latest to add their literary flare to the many book options of consumers is none other than Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
I would be remiss not to mention that RHOA vet NeNe Leakes was first of the Atlanta clique to add her memoirs to the literary ranks back in 2009…

Now Phaedra Parks has a new etiquette book called Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment while Cynthia Bailey has partnered with her hubby, entrepreneur Peter Thomas for a relationship manual called “Carry-on Baggage: Our Nonstop Flight.”
Details + excerpts from the two new books below…
Parks has finally finished her book, entitled Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment, where she shares her Southern etiquette knowledge.

Not to be outdone, Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas have decided to share their secrets of relationship success in a new book.
Joining the reality show ranks in season 3, the couple’s relationship quickly became fodder for bloggers and fans.Thomas recently revealed in an interview with BET:
The first year they watched us crash and burn.
What the press saw was an angry, Black man in his late 40s that was losing his business and in a relationship with a beautiful supermodel. It was tough.
Personally I love these two as a couple. Though anyone with half a brain can apply common logic that the two’s relationship isnt as rocky as reality TV would suggest (if there isn’t juicy drama you wouldn’t tune in, right?
But it seems writing, “Carry-on Baggage: Our Nonstop Flight,” was therapeutic in more ways then one, and these days all is definitely well in the Bailey/Thomas household.
“You can shoot with Bravo for seven hours in the day and they will use the first and last. They’ll use what works for their storyline, and sometimes what works for their storyline is the worst two minutes of those seven hours.”
And while recapping their entire history, which had a few painful moments, writing the book together brought them closer than ever, he says. “This book was so much therapy for both of us, it was incredible.”

While there’s been some tough times both in-front, and behind the scenes, Thomas admits they see themselves hanging in there for the long haul.
“As long as this opportunity provides the platform for her [noting that the series gave his wife the means to help young, minority women break into the modeling world], I believe she is going to ride this bus until the wheels fall off,? he proclaims.
?And I would ride to the end of the world with her.”
Peter & Cynthia’s book was released September 3, 2013 and can is available for purchase now. CLICK HERE to get your copy.
