Tameka Foster Raymond, the ex-wife of singer Usher Raymond, appeared on ABC?s ?Good Morning America? this morning to discuss her ongoing custody battle for her two sons (August 14, 2013).
Usher and Tameka?s 5-year-old son, Usher Raymond V (Cinco), was released from Scottish Rite Hospital Sunday after nearly drowning in a swimming pool accident.

Tameka sat down with GMA’s Dan Abrams to discuss the situation and addresses a few issues that she wants to set straight regarding the public’s misconception of her case against her famous husband.

“It was like I relived it. My brain went into all these modes. I’d gotten this call before.”?
During their bitter custody battle, Usher fought for decision making authority and won primary custody of their two sons last year.? Contrary to popular believe, Tameka still has custody of the boys at least 2 weeks of the month.

On the most recent issue, Tameka explains that she feels that as a mother, she should be the first to care for the children when Usher isn’t available.
?I want to have first right of refusal. (If Usher is out of town) I don?t want them to go home to the nanny and watch whatever show their dad is on. They should be home with their mom.?
On how the media is portraying her these days, Tameka states:
“I don’t have an agent. I have regular, working-class friends and family. We don’t know how to fight the machine. I had a career, and to be reduced to some baby momma and gold-digger is hurtful.”
Tameka adds that she doesn’t blame Usher for the accident, but she’s angry that it happened “on his watch”.
As far as all the talk about the results of Tameka’s psychiatric examination, I was in court and this is what I (emphasis on “I”) know.? Usher and Tameka were BOTH tested and BOTH were diagnosed with ‘narcissistic’ personality traits and ironically it was Usher’s attorney’s who did NOT want the results of HIS evaluation revealed in court.? Usher’s attorney’s actually had the courtroom cleared so that no one would hear the results while Tameka’s side objected to the press being removed because she clearly didn’t feel there was anything to hide.
