Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas and Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins held a press conference yesterday where they discussed re-emerging as TLC (July 25, 2013).

The ladies haven”t released new music in 10 years and were asked during the conference how they feel about having to re-introduce themselves as a group.

There’s a whole generation that don’t know who we are…

Even if we had been out every year with an album, we’d still have to reinvent yourself. So even if we were out and it had been 10 years, I still feel like you’d still need to reintroduce yourself and up your game.

And speaking of re-introductions, TLC announced that rapper Lil Mama would be joining them on stage in place of Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes.

T-Boz and Chilli are scheduled to perform at the Mixtape Festival in Hershey Park, PA this weekend and since Lil Mama has obviously been groomed for almost 2 years to star as Left Eye in the upcoming VH1 biopic, they will give her an opportunity to perform.
