Kelly Rowland was really feeling? some kinda way when she performed her latest song “Dirty Laundry” live last Sunday (May 26, 2013).
“Doing this song for me was so therapeutic,” she said during the show prior to the song. “Honesty, like my mama always says, is always the best policy.”

Rowland hit the stage at the Fillmore Silver Spring in Washington D.C. and the former Destiny’s Child member became overwhelmed with emotion and had to stop singing in order to compose herself during the song.
About four minutes into the song, the songstress gets choked up just as she sings the line “Turnin’ me against my sister,” in reference to her DC pal Beyonce, and she eventually sits hunched over onstage with her head.
The audience then comes to her assistance, chanting her name until she’s able to wipe away her tears and continue on with the song.

The powerful ballad, which Rowland released earlier this month, addresses her past relationships with abusive boyfriends, as well as her jealousy over Beyonce’s success.
The lyric Kelly had so much trouble singing onstage is as follows:
“When my sister was on stage/ Killing it like a motherf–ker/ I was in rage/ Feeling it like a motherf–ker,”
“Bird in a cafe/ You’d never know what I was dealing with/ Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin’ it/ Bittersweet, she was up, I was down/ No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?”
The single ‘Dirty Laundry’ is from Kelly Rowland’s upcoming album Talk a Good Game, which is scheduled for release June 18, 2013.
