Dove (yes… the peope who make the soap) conducted a social experiment recently that proves that most women are actually way more attractive than they see themselves.

Women are their own worst beauty critics. Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful. At Dove, we are committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. So, we decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that explores how women view their own beauty in contrast to what others see.
We decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that proves to women something very important: You are more beautiful than you think.
Dove hired a FBI sketch artist to draw seven women as they described themselves from behind a curtain. Prior to their encounter, the women mingled briefly with a stranger in another room.
After the artist draws the woman as she described herself, she leaves and the stranger she met is brought in and asked to describe her as well.
The sketch artist completes a 2nd drawing and in every example, the first sketch (self-descriptions) are darker and uglier than those drawn from the stranger’s description.
