Pilar Sanders, wife of former NFL defensive back Deion Sanders, posed for the mugshot above after a run-in with her estranged husband last night (April 23, 2012).

There are clearly no winners in the battle between the two former lovebirds as their divorce continues to play out in the media.

That being said… Deion has decided to use social media to his advantage, tweeting a play by play of the assault filing prior to Pilar’s arrest.

Deion posted the photo above of he and his sons filing police report paperwork after he was allegedly assaulted by Pilar in their bedroom.

In a series of tweets, Deion claims Pilar and a friend assaulted him while his sons watched.

According to the Colin County Jail website, Pilar was booked for ?assault family violence.?

Speculation is that the confrontation was perhaps over recent photos of Deion out with Tracey Edmonds in New York at a performance of Blair Underwood?s ?Streetcar Named Desire.

Of course no one knows exactly what went on once Pilar entered Deion?s bedroom, but my guess is that Pilar was pissed about Deion flaunting his relationship with Edmonds in the media, especially since Pilar has claimed that Edmonds was one of the many women Deion cheated on her with in the past.

Currently Pilar is being held in jail, but since her bond is small I’m sure she’ll be out soon enough.

Divorce is hard and when a spouse moves on to a new boo, it’s even harder. ?Pilar is a beautiful woman and should be able to get any man she wants…. but hurt is hurt!
