It’s no doubt that extreme marketing efforts like the celebrity surprise Producer Will Packer launched on several Atlanta theatres opening weekend, played a hand in the box office success of the flick.
Think Like a Man opened to an estimated $33 million from just 2,015 theaters.
The movie’s $16,377 per-theater average is third-highest for a nationwide release so far this year behind The Hunger Games ($36,871) and The Lorax ($18,830) and significantly above huge hits like The Vow, Safe House and 21 Jump Street.
Its opening was also better than nearly all comparable titles, including all Tyler Perry movies except Madea Goes to Jail ($41 million). (source)
Wooow! How impressive is that?? Congrats Will!! Tyler are you listening….
But wait… how bout in addition to it’s huge success at the box office, TLAM has actually sparked a celebrity romance and two of the stars from the cast are now reportedly an item!!
Can you guess which one of the TLAM couples have made a match off screen?
Details…
CottenKandi has exclusively revealed through a source that the two have gotten quite close and their on screen romance has transferred into “real life”:
An eyewitness reports, the ?Think Like A Man? co-stars were spotted during a recent outing at a basketball game at New York City?s Madison Square Garden. They entered the arena through a private entrance and, although they tried to be discrete, they were caught kissing! The couple seemed to have been enjoying each others company, sitting close and canoodling.
Henson and Ealy, are believed to have gotten pretty close while filming newly released film, ?Think Like A Man?, and if you were among the millions of people who saw the film this weekend, you?ll know, their chemistry was bursting through the screen.
The news shouldn?t come as a surprise, however. Both actors have had some very kind words to say about each other during some recent interviews. READ MORE
These two definitely blazed on the big screen, and if these rumors are true this could be a match made in self-help book history!
Score one for Steve Harvey! 😯
And… If reports are right that Think Like a Man only cost $12 million to make… then the film has already earned back its? production costs over the course of a single weekend at the box office (excluding the millions allocated to marketing / distribution expenses).
Looks like a win/win for Think Like A Man!
