The Philadelphia 76ers’ Allen Iverson announced he was leaving basketball indefinitely due to his 4-year-old daughter Messiah?s undisclosed illness about a week ago, and was exposed after partying it up at CIAA last weekend…but apparently the NBA baller’s wife has had it with his antics and seeks to UNTIE the knot.

Tawanna Iverson, Allen’s wife of almost 9 years has officially filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court.

In the divorce petition filed on Tuesday, Tawanna says the couple’s? 8 ?-year-long marriage is ?irretrievably broken? and asks for temporary and permanent custody of their five children as well as child support and alimony. Tawanna did not ask for a specific dollar amount.

The couple has had domestic issues in the past, the most documented being in 2002 when Iverson allegedly tossed Twanna out on the street, naked, following a two-day argument.

During that incident Allen Iverson was arrested after he barged into the West Philly apartment of his cousin, Shaun Bowman, and his roommate, Charles Jones, in the middle of the night hunting for his wife, Tawanna, who had been in hiding for two days after the argument.

The couple soon made up and had another child during their reconciliation. Their children range in ages from 17 months to 15 years.

According to the court filings, the Iversons, along with their kids have lived in north Atlanta since August. Prior to that, the family claimed homes in Rochester, Mich.; Englewood, Colo.; Denver, Colo.; and Villanova, Pa.
