It’s been almost three weeks since Stacey Nicole English disappeared and evidence surrounding her whereabouts is still quite scarce.

The 36 year old Buckhead woman has been classified as a “missing person,” although authorities have noted there are “suspicious circumstances” surrounding her disappearance.

English disappeared the day after Christmas and hasn’t been seen since. Her car was found abandoned a day later, with the keys inside and the car still running and there has still been no signs of the missing woman or evidence as to whereabouts.

Where the hell is Stacey Nicole English? I refuse to believe this woman just disappeared into thin air!

According to the police report, which you can read in it’s entirety HERE (.pdf file), a St. Louis event promoter by the name of Robert Kirk, was visiting English in Atlanta during that time and may have been the last to see the missing woman alive.

Investigators are currently examining all options, including the possibility the Fayette County High School graduate met with foul play.

Those closest to English fear the worst, saying she maintained daily contact with family and friends and would not just run away.

For the past two days, the Atlanta police, in conjunction with the Georgia State Patrol, have sent divers into the Lakewood Fairgrounds Lake, a 15 acre swampland located about a mile from where English’s car was discovered on Dec. 27th, to search for clues.

They SAY they have no reason to believe the 36-year-old instructional designer’s body will be found in the lake but are merely there to as a precautionary measure.

In the meantime, English’s parents have hired private investigator TJ Ward to assist in the investigation and hopefully more clues about her whereabouts will turn up soon.

Ward told the AJC that he is engaged in a “process of elimination,” visiting the woman’s condo and inspecting her car. He has yet to rule out anything but said English’s home and says her vehicle should be treated as crime scenes.

The public has been keeping their eyes on Kirk… English’s male “friend” who jetted back to St. Louis shortly after she disappeared. He has since hired a high profile defense attorney, although he hasn’t been named as a “SUSPECT” in the case.

The family of Stacey Engish set up THIS FACEBOOK PAGE to aid in the search for their daughter and there is also a $5000 reward being offered for information that leads them to their missing daughter.

Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell said he is currently working to double the $5,000 reward. Anyone with information on the missing woman is asked to call Atlanta Crime Stoppers, 404-577-8477.

*Update* The family of Stacey Nicole English posted the following via their facebook page around 7pm today, 1/17/12:

GOD IS SO GOOD!!! Just got off the phone with APD, Lt. Guerucci and the Georgia State Patrol have completed the sweep of the lake near Lakewood Amphitheatre and the results are negative!!!Our daughter, Stacey Nicole English, is not there. Keep praying saints because she is somewhere and with God’s guidance and infinite wisdom will point the authorities to her and bring her safe and sound to us.Glory to God in the highest for the VICTORY in ADVANCE!!!
