Comedienne/Actress/Talk Show Host Mo’Nique was honored by Antwan “Big Boi” Patton’s Big Kidz Foundation last Saturday (July 16, 2011).
The Oscar winning actress spoke of the importance of giving back to the community and during her acceptance speech, made a point of acknowledging the people in her life who touched her life as a child.
The event was held in the Atrium of Atlanta’s City Hall and other Big Kidz honorees included artist Gilbert Young, Susan Booth, Lauri Stalling, Jasmine Guy.

Mo’Nique’s husband Sidney Hicks and her niece came along in support of the popular actress. Other attendees included Councilmember Kwanza Hall, new Atlanta housewife Marlo Hampton & more.
