Petey Pablo is in the news this week as he is the next dumb rapper to be headed to prison!

Pablo, whose real name is Moses Barrett III, pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen firearm yesterday…. *sigh*

If you recall, the “Freek-a-Leek” rapper was arrested last year when he didn’t think twice about carrying a loaded gun through airport security.? Authorities at Raleigh-Durham International Airport found a loaded Smith & Wesson 639 in Pablo’s bag as it passed through an airport security X-ray machine.

At the time of his arrest, Pablo was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.

The rapper appeared in federal court Wednesday (March 16) to plead guilty to the possession of a stolen firearm charge. In doing so, federal prosecutors agreed to drop two other charges in a plea agreement.

Pablo’s sentencing is scheduled in June and he faces up to 10 years in prison.

Another day… another rapper headed to prison. *sigh*
