The man has served his time, moved on to another team and after almost a year out of the big house, Michael Vick is still in the dog house!
Vick spent 21 months in jail after admitting to his involvement in a dog fighting ring and although he still has love in the “A” he was let go from the Atlanta Falcons shortly after his release. Now playing as backup quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, Vick has still faced obstacles and opposition to his success.
Last March, Vick received the Ed Block Courage Award and humbly endured a ton of angry protesters and now, for the second year in a row, he’s been rated the most hated man in sports!
When will y’all give this man a dayum break!
According an annual Forbes magazine poll, Vick joins Tiger Woods has “The Most Disliked People in Sports.”
Forbes polled 1,100 people over the age of 13 to rate newsworthy athletes and Vick topped the list that included five NFL figures among the 10 most-hated people in sports. Vick took the lead by a whopping 69% percent of respondents.
“The general public largely still knows him for the dog fighting,” says Gerry Philpott, E-Poll’s CEO, citing his unusually high 54% awareness rating. “If you were to limit the responses to just NFL fans, Vick’s number would probably skew lower.”
I think they polled the wrong people, cause everyone I know is rooting for Vick. The man has publicly apologized, served jail time and has had everything taken from him.? What more can they do? Seriously…
LEAVE VICK ALONE!
