Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick told NBC news that he wants to own another dog one day…and I don’t see any reason why he shouldn’t.

In an interview set to air this Wednesday (December 22nd), Vick states:

I would love to get another dog in the future. I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process.

I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals; I think it would be outstanding. If I ever have the opportunity again I will never take it for granted. I miss having a dog right now. I wish I could.

My daughters miss having one, and that’s the hardest thing: telling them that we can’t have one because of my actions.

Vick was banned for life for owning a dog as a result of his dog fighting scandal but it seems a bit unreasonable to me.? Vick is hot on the comeback trail and has proven his sincerity time and time again. He’s served his time, lost jobs & sponsorships and was bashed in the media. How much punishment is too much?

Surprisingly the women of The View agree with me. Barbara Walters said she would even trust Vick with her pooch….
