Peachtree Street was jumping Friday night, especially around the area of Justin’s restaurant. If you passed by, you may have gotten an eyeful of the police investigation…
Apparently two men were shot in front of the Buckhead restaurant, which is owned by rapper-producer Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The story is a bit weird, in that the men weren’t actually guests of the popular hotspot. They were actually just convening in the parking lot…
According to the AJC,
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. outside Justin’s Restaurant and Bar in the 2200 block of Peachtree Road.
Saturday morning, police said a shooting victim, Lawrence Jackson, was listening to music in an SUV with two other men when a man with a gun jumped into the vehicle and shouted “You know what time this is?”
Jackson said he was injured as he tried to run away from the gunman as he opened fire. He was able to make it to his vehicle and drive to Piedmont Hospital.
Another man, Leroy Austin, was also injured in the shooting.
Both are in stable condition at area hospitals suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victims said they do not know the suspect, but were able to give police a description of the man and his vehicle.
Diners were inside Justin’s Restaurant and Bar at the time, but it appears the victims of the shooting had not been customers there, Sgt. T.A. Williams of the Atlanta Police Department told the AJC Friday.
You can’t even sit in your car & listen to music these days without someone tryna murk you? Dayum! It’s getting real in the field…
