Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a special screening of the film STEP UP 3D which was hosted by Roscoe Dash at the AMC Fork & Screen in Atlanta.

?The dancing in the movie was incredible,? said Dash. ?I enjoyed myself and appreciate everyone coming out.?

Spotted in the crowd was the OMG Girlz, who are riding high off of the internet success of their “Pretty Girl Bag,” a remake of Soulja Boy’s hit song, Pretty Boy Swag. [CLICK HERE if you missed their cute new video]

Roscoe, accompanied by his mom Letitia and his adorable daughter Jayla, previewed several tracks from his upcoming debut Ready Set Go! as well as his single from the STEP UP 3D soundtrack, ?My Own Step? which features T-Pain.

The 3D effects in the movie were awesome but the storyline is classic dance flick material.? I swear I couldn’t stop laughing at the obvious cliche’s:? The dance offs…. The beat boxes. The boy who wants to really wants to dance but has to hide his passion because his family & friends think it’s a waste of time.? The intriguing white chick who shows up out of no where to save the dance crew… I could go on but you get the picture.

One thing’s for sure, you’ll enjoy the movie based on the side jokes alone. We had a blast making up our own story line. [Sidebar: Ain’t nothing funnier that an impromptu “dance off”… Drama, Lillie and I can pop lock & drop it with the best of em!]

All jokes aside, it was a cool lil outing. Step Up 3D will probably be a hit based on the 3D action alone and I can only imagine the spoofs that will come out of it.
