Erykah Badu and Questlove take on psychological theories in Erykah’s new video for “Window Seat”. Attempting to prove (or clarify) the existence of the “Groupthink” theory, Erykah parades down a crowded street while removing her clothes.
The video, shot in Dallas near the grassy knoll made famous by the Kennedy assassination references the one-shot theory in it’s bizarre ending.
Check out the official video for “Window Seat” + Erykah’s explanation the ending below:
Video ~ “Window Seat” ~ Erykah Badu
After her “assassination” in the video, Erykah explains the “groupthink” theory as follows:
They play it safe. Are quick to assassinate what they do not understand. They move in packs. Ingesting more and more fear with
every act of hate on one another. They feel most comfortable in groups. Less guilt to swollow.
They are us.
This is what we have become. Afraid to respect the individual. A single person within a circumstance can move one to change. To love one herself. To evolve.
Erykah explains that her concept to get nude came from THIS VIDEO but her skeptics have been complaining that she’s somewhat of a show-off for displaying her bodacious bootay to the public after having 3 kids.
Ms. Badu dismisses the naysayers and says she’s just a model of self love & expression:
This should definitely keep em talking for a while! Love it!!
Erykah’s “New Amerykah Part II: Return Of The Ankh” hits stores tomorrow (March 30th).
