Fantasia Barrino has faced huge criticism over the past few weeks. Not only has she been called a “homewrecker” after word got out about her married boyfriend, but issues surrounding her “Color Purple” absences have made nationwide headlines.
Tasia’s back on schedule with her performances but it seems she’s struck a nerve with either an angry wife or disgruntled fan who sent her a death threat!Word is, last weekend during Tasia’s “Color Purple” performance at the Pantages Theater in L.A., Fantasia was reading fan mail and came across a disturbing letter loaded with racial slurs.
According to her manager, the letter contained the n-word plus a line that read, “go back where you came from and die.” The singer’s camp immediately contacted theater security, which in turn contacted the LAPD.
The person who wrote the letter claims they used to work as a security guard for Fox while Fantasia was on “American Idol,” which prompted the theater to “beef up” security around Fantasia and all over the venue.? Security will also be screening anything sent to Tasia’s dressing room before it gets to her.
Fantasia is upset by the letter but states, “I will not be defeated by one isolated person’s hatred.”
Good for her! Because I’m sure she’s used up all of her excused absences from the show…
