Comedian Katt Williams is in the news again fresh off of heels of his recent arrest for forfeiting his bond. Katt was detained by police for several hours yesterday after a disturbance at a Newnan area Walmart.

Police responded to a disturbance call around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Walmart on Bullsboro Drive in Newnan after someone called 911 to report that a man had a gun in the parking lot. They found Katt and several members of his “entourage” arguing in the parking lot of the discount chain.

Authorities believe that Shirley and Tony Williams, the mother and brother of Katt Williams’ girlfriend, Yolanda, confronted him at the Walmart because they were concerned about Yolanda’s welfare. The family members and Katt’s “entourage” argued loudly in the parking lot, cursing and causing a scene.

Police had to detain everyone involved to restore order to the situation as the parking lot was full of vehicles as well as Walmart customers.

Authorities obtained a search warrant and blocked off the area after receiving the tip about a weapon. Several vehicles were searched and police did find firearms and marijuana but say they found no evidence that a gun was used during the incident.

Shirley and Tony Williams were ultimately charged with disorderly conduct, and another person at the scene, Lilly James, was arrested and charged with possession of the marijuana.

Katt was held and questioned for several hours and was eventually released after authorities confirmed the whereabouts of his girlfriend Yolanda:

There are no charges on Katt Williams at this time and we do not expect there to be any charges. We checked some firearms and they were returned to Katt Williams. We’re still unclear whether there was a gun pulled on someone or not. Three people have been arrested, and as far as I know that will be the end of it.

When I first got word of the “disturbance,” I was personally hoping this was an intervention gone awry. Katt is in serious need of some help and seems to be crying out loudly.

Contrary to what the news video above says, this is actually Katt’s 5th incident in Georgia this year:

The first being that bizarre 911 call [LISTEN], where a 17 year old called 911 and accused Katt of holding him against his will…then the burglary charge that prompted this crazy mugshot… then the Four Seasons Hotel incident that ended up in a fistfight over his unpaid bill… and Katt was just released from the Coweta County jail earlier this week after being arrested for non-payment of fees of the bond he used to get out of jail.

After his release in this latest incident, Katt returned to the Walmart parking lot to retrieve his vehicles and expressed feeling like he’d become a target in the area:

This is a witch hunt ? I?m getting to the point where I feel persecuted ? this don?t make no sense. They keep acting like I?m a trouble maker. I been here for two months and ain?t been to a club yet!”? (Video)

Katt’s starting to be reminiscent of modern day DMX. I pray that he finds his way out of whatever substance has a hold of him. Quick, fast, in a hurry…
