Shawty Redd allegedly shot Damon A. Martin, 35, of Detroit, Friday morning at his home during an altercation. Police responded to an 8 a.m. call Friday morning after someone reported a shooting in the 2000 block of Ballymeade Lane in Hampton.
Stewart was arrested at the home and is currently being held without bond in Henry County Jail and has been charged with murder in the shooting.
Raheem Shabazz (Rasha Ent) and Dennis Byron (Hip Hop Enquirer) attended the hearing and obtained the following footage of Redd as he made his first appearance in court:

Hip Hop Enquirer?s Dennis Byron spoke exclusively with the lead detective Wayne Bender in the case who stated that Mr. Stewart was fully cooperating with the investigation of the case and that he did contact 911 after the shooting which he stated occurred around 8:00 A.M. on New Year?s Day.
Although there have been reports that Shawty Redd turned himself in to the police, we have learned from reliable sources that prior to his surrender ?every effort was made to try and resuscitate the deceased individual.
A witness to the incident has stated that they overheard a man fitting the description of the deceased making threats of violence to Mr. Stewart prior to the shooting and that the weapon used was legally registered to him.
A preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for Jan. 12.? It’s a sad day for hip-hop when one of the hottest producers in the game gets carted out.? Redd is responsible for hits such as Jeezy’s “Trap or Die” and Snoops “Sensual Seduction”. I pray for he and the family of the deceased. Horrible situation…
