Whitney Houston was spotted in the audience of the 2009 American Music Awards with her baby girl, Bobbi Kristina, by her side. OK I take that back, Lil Bobbi Kris is all grown up now and I heard she’s actually looking forward to a singing career of her own. I’m sure witnessing her Mom’s spectacular performance last night helped seal the deal for her. Isn’t it refreshing to see Whitney back on her “A” game?
Whitney performed “Didn’t Know My Own Strength” and was honored with the 2009 International Artist of the Year Award, which was presented to her by Samuel L. Jackson, who read the inscription below:
The International Award of Excellence is presented to Whitney Houston by the American Music Awards in recognition of her worldwide success exemplified by her international record sales, radio airplay in countries all over the world, live performances that span the globe, and popularity that knows no borders or boundaries.
